MailerQ 4.0 released

We're proud to announce MailerQ 4.0. The latest version of our MTA, with more features than ever before. Please check our documentation for a list of everything that is new or has been updated. A lot has been changed:

• More information in JSON result objects
• Submitting mails through spool directories
• HAProxy support
• Incoming and outgoing Delivery Status Notifications
• DMARC processing

...and much more!

Upgrading

Please be aware that the new version is not fully compatible with previous versions of MailerQ. You do have to make changes to your existing config file, and also the structure of the tables in the relational database is not completely the same. You therefore do need to pay a attention when upgrading, and make sure that you have backups in place.

MailerQ now reports more details of deliveries to the result queue. We've distinguished more types of failures, and MailerQ can now also receive, parse and recognize incoming asynchronous bounces (like delivery status notifications). If you have automated scripts that process messages from the result queue, you do have to make sure that they recognize the updated JSON objects.

The plugin API has also been changed. If you have plugins, please check our plugin documentation to check the new function names.

License file

You need a new license file to upgrade to version 4.0. If you already have a license for an older version of MailerQ, you can download a new license file from our website.
