MailerQ version 1.0 coming up
‘Anybody there?’ ‘Are you guys still working on MailerQ?’ ‘I like MailerQ, please don’t pull the plug on it!’ We’ve been getting a lot of people sending us tweets and emails, worried that we’d discontinue our services.
But rest assured. MailerQ is still very much alive. The reason why we’ve kept a bit quiet is that we’ve been working hard on a new version of our high performance MTA. In fact, we’re at the brink of launching version 1.0.
Yes, you read correctly. We’re so happy and confident of MailerQ’s performance, that we’re abandoning the 0. and officially releasing version 1.0.
What’s new?
We’ve been working on various updates, since the release of version 0.7.4:
- We completely refactored the code
- We now have a new underlying AMQP-CPP library, making MailerQ even faster
- We implemented flood patterns, so that deliveries can be paused or throttled when an IP address gets grey listed
- And of course we fixed a lot of bugs
New interface
Another thing we’re particularly proud of, is MailerQ’s new interface. Designed to be even more user friendly and appealing. But don’t just take our word for it, check out these screenshots:
Enterprise licenses
For heavy users, with the launch of version 1.0 various enterprise licenses will become available, unlocking the full potential of MailerQ. Users will be able to renew their license on a monthly or a yearly basis. Of course, there will also still be a free license available, although this free version won’t have the same send rates as the MailerQ version that’s available right now.
Coming soon
While we don’t have an exact launch date yet, expect MailerQ version 1.0 to be released this quarter. In the meanwhile we might be releasing a version 0.8, containing some bugfixes. The release of this version depends on the time it takes us to release version 1.0. The closer the expected release date gets to September 30, the more likely version 0.8 will be released intermediately.
Stay tuned!
